Tubular Cube shaped stools, France 1970s

Pair of tubular cube shaped stools, France 1970s. Interesting design constructed out of a fat chrome tubular frame and cubic cushions. Although very modest in material and design the little details they have are nice such as the continuing tubular frame which follows the lines of the cubes and the playful bow in the backrest. The seats are upholstered in a thick honey colored Mohair velvet which gives the chairs a nice vivid texture and creates a nice contrast with the clean chrome surface. Reupholstered and re-polished into a perfect condition.
