Spherical Glass table lamp by Pia Guidetti Crippa for Lumi, Italy 1970s

Rare glass table lamp by Pia Guidetti Crippa for Lumi, Italy 1970s. Interesting sculptural design composed of a glass globe resting on a chromed base with a central diagonal tube. The clean clear globe shape is subtly decorated with an organic shaped opaline top both functioning as a decorative interruption as well as a diffuser which prevents annoying direct light and and spread the light in a nice soft way. The lamp by Pia Guidetti Crippa has its original dimmer switch which is integrated in the chromed tube. In a ver good original condition.
