Adjustable ‘Sphere’ Table Lamp by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi, Italy 1960s. Refined design composed of primary forms: a sphere for the shade, a heavy cube functioning as the base, and tubes for the construction. These elements together result in an almost 'mobile' sculptural whole, in a modest color scheme of black lacquered and nickel-plated metal. The lamp features a pivot joint, enabling the user to adjust the direction of the arm to the desired position. The lamp provides a nice, concentrated light, as the light falls slightly inward, and is equipped with an E-14 light socket. In excellent original condition with a subtle patina.
