Round Oak wooden Reconstruction side table, France 1950s

Solid Oak wooden side table, France 1950s. Interesting modest 'Reconstruction' design with nice sharp tapered legs beautifully encountering the round solid oak top. The table is a typical example of the French after the war 'Reconstruction' style and shows similarities with the designs of Jean Prouvé and René Gabriel. The table can be used as a small coffee table but would in our opinion service beautiful as a royal side table with enough place for some books, decoration and a table lamp. In very good condition with a nice warm patina.
