Pierre Chapo Daybed ‘L03’ in solid Elm, France 1960s

Pierre Chapo daybed model 'L03', France 1965. Early example dating from the late 60s. Modest design with beautiful details such as the cross joinery which is characteristic for Chapo's work. All is constructed from solid Elm wood which is showing a beautiful grain and a unique warm patina. The mattress and neckroll are reupholstered. We removed the drawer and invisibly stopped the small holes with small Elm wooden plugs; all original parts are available and can be placed back without damaging the frame. All in a very good condition.
