Monumental Ceramic wall sculpture by Paul de Bruyne, 1968

Monumental ceramic wall sculpture by Belgian artist Paul De Bruyne, 1968. Executed in chamotte clay, composed in a rhythmic sequence of abstracted figures, reduced to essential forms where abstraction and figuration meet. The work unfolds as a continuous relief, flowing over in the architecture.
De Bruyne's works were conceived in dialogue with architecture, carrying a strong spatial and structural presence. Planes shift and intersect, creating a rhythm of faceted volumes and carved lines that suggest multiple perspectives at once.
The surface reveals a rich, structured and irregular texture, marked by hand and capturing light in a nuanced, almost atmospheric way. A rare example of a large-scale mid-century modern wall sculpture.
The sculpture is fitted with a custom, concealed metal mounting system, providing structural support and allowing it to be divided into three sections for safe transport and precise, secure installation.
In excellent condition.
