Max Ingrand asymmetrical palette shaped mirror for Fontana Arte, Italy 1958

Asymmetrical palette shaped mirror by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, Italy 1958. Elegant composition of an asymmetrical warm fumé colored outer frame and a floating free form shaped mirror. The mirror is held in place by two rectangular patinated brass supports, creating a subtle tension between the different elements and shapes. The layered construction enhances depth, reflection, and light, while the organic asymmetrical silhouette gives the piece an elegant sculptural presence. Executed to the highest standards, as expected from Fontana Arte during this period. The reverse retains its original wooden backing with the original Luigi Fontana manufacturer’s label. An elegant and decorative wall object. The mirror remains in excellent authentic condition, with a beautiful patina.
