Large Geometric shaped ceramic vase by Victor Cerrato, Italy 1960s

Geometric shaped ceramic vase by Victor Cerrato (1917 - 2008), Italy 1960s. Intriguing large sculptural vase made from geometric shaped panels with artistic calligraphic line drawings in black and white. Both the size, shape and crossed placed parts makes it a very architectural 'build' piece. Cerrato opened his workshop in Turin in the early years after the Second World War. His oeuvre is mostly decorative and functional but always to support his abstract calligraphic drawings. The vase is in an excellent condition.
