Large organic sisal Wall Tapestry by Annet Gaaikema, 1970s

Large organic Wall Tapestry by Annet Gaaikema (1944), The Netherlands 1970s. The tapestry shows beautiful openwork patterns and crochet work, all skillfully and disciplinary done by hand. The work is titled "Tot iets gedwongen niets“ (Something forced into nothing). The work is composed out of a mix of natural colored Sisal in contrasting shades and is showing an interesting play of textures, shades and open fields. The work is in excellent original condition.
