Large Metal Tubular 'Knot' Sculpture, Netherlands 1960s. Very minimal abstract work with yet a catchy Pop art feeling due to the simplistic continuing knot shape. In the period of the 1960s there was a very strong Dutch abstract movement going on and many famous artists worked in this minimal style. Unfortunately not enough information is known as it came from an anonymous legacy. The sculpture is refinished since it had too much suffered over all the years standing in a private garden. The original color could luckily be traced down.
