Large wall tapestry by Lieva Bostoen (1935), Belgium 1970s. Impressive piece of art composed of handwoven jute in different weaving patterns and textures. Made with much tactility and persuasion. The deep relief and outspoken overlapping parts provide a nice relief and shadow play. Bostoen studied at the art academy in Roeselare, Belgium. Outstanding piece in excellent condition.
