Hand carved wooden Akan / Ashanti stool

Original hand carved African tribal Ashanti stool - Ghana, early 20th century. Very nice details carved out of one solid piece of wood. The curved seat is supported by a decorative center cylindrical column and four stems which rises out of the flat bottom part. Very decorative object with a characteristic patina.
