Gae Aulenti ‘Giova’ table lamp for Fontana Arte, Italy 1960s

Giova lamp by Gae Aulenti for Fontana Arte, 1964. Nice early edition, much nicer than the later ones which have a different base. Beautiful light object consisting a variation of round ball shapes combined together like an stacking art sculpture. The light source is hidden in an opaline glass ball which provides a nice diffuse light distribution. The smokey glass half sphere can be put in different position which gives the lamp a nice playful feel. In excellent condition.
