Free Form sculptural wooden coffee table, France 1960s

Free Form solid wooden coffee table from the Pyrenees, 1960s. Beautiful living edge top and a monoxyle sculpted base out of solid Poplar wood (Populus); a wood with a very specific outspoken grain. The top shows interesting wood carvings; existing holes where filled up in the time with small pieces of local wood giving the table an unique handcrafted character. In very good original condition with a nice warm patina.
