Ceramic wall-mounted console by Victor Cerrato, Italy 1960s

Ceramic wall-mounted console by Victor Cerrato (1917–2008), Italy 1960s. An intriguing console defined by a composition of geometric forms and expressive, graphic surfaces. A subtle tension emerges between structure and irregularity, where sharp lines meet a more intuitive treatment of color and texture.
Its proportions, angular silhouette, and pronounced relief give the piece a distinctly sculptural presence, reading as a wall-mounted artwork rather than a purely functional object.
Victor Cerrato established his workshop in Turin in the years following the Second World War. His work moves between the decorative and the functional, consistently guided by an abstract, graphic language that remains central throughout his oeuvre. The console is in excellent condition.
