Carved Elm wooden Free form Chairs, France 1970s

Unique sculptural wooden low chairs, 1970's. The chairs are hand-carved out of solid Elm wooden tree trunks with a nice exposed wood grain. Beautiful characteristic trunks were selected to create these stunning chairs, the shape of the chairs follow the original shape of the trunk and outspoken cut outs are made resulting in a strong sculptural design. In beautiful condition with a nice warm patina.
