Bernard Govin ‘Elliptique’ armchair for Saporiti Italia, 1960s

Elliptique armchair by Bernard Govin for Saporiti Italia, c. 1965. Very interesting design of a clean cube shape and a 'carved' out elliptical shape and a round cushion on a square wooden base. The chair is upholstered in a high quality thick cognac colored nubuck leather which gives the chairs a nice vivid texture and a characteristic surface. The model is part of the collection of 'Musei Italiani' in Milan. In very good condition.
