Ammannati & Vitelli “Tuonela” Club chairs for Rossi di Albizzate, Italy 1967

“Tuonela” armchairs by Titina Ammannati & Giampiero Vitelli for Giuseppe Rossi di Albizzate, Italy 1967. A playful and mobile seating concept reflecting the flexible interpretation of the living room that emerged during the late 1960s. The name of the series, Tuonela, refers to the enclosed, embracing character of the chairs. Their design speaks a distinctly modern language, subtly balanced by classic elements such as the softly contoured, button-tufted back cushion. The chairs have been reupholstered in a warm ochre velvet. As we have another set available, a custom order in an alternative material and color is possible. The chairs remain in excellent condition.
