Rare set of 'Toscanella' chairs designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti, Italy circa 1970. These chairs come from an old stock and are only used in a showroom, and therefore in and exceptionally good condition. Unique set featuring thick straw covered seats and backrests, unique material which is impossible to find nowadays. Distinctive sturdy design creating an intriguing conversation between the rustic and traditional Ash wooden frames and straw seats and their progressive modern design. The eye-catching bulky tapered legs and the friendly 'sunset' half-round shaped backrests contribute to a very playful aesthetic design. In excellent, fully original condition.
