Afra and Tobia Scarpa mod. ‘925’ easy chair for Cassina, Italy 1966

Afra & Tobia Scarpa mod. '925’ easy chair for Cassina, Italy 1966. Beautiful example made out of nice dark warm colored walnut and ox blood red leather. The chair is inspired by a sketch made in 1943 by the famous father of Tobia, architect Carlo Scarpa. The design is very minimal and modest but is showing great details such as the wood joinery and cut out parts in the seat and backrest. The elegant curved backrest and seat creates an interesting contrast with the square cubic frame. The chair is marked with the original sticker. In very good original condition
