Abstract wooden sculpture by Willem Hussem (1900-1974), the Netherlands 1960s. Hussem made various works of art such as paintings, drawings and sculptures. In 1960 he represented The Netherlands at the Venice Biennale. During his lifetime he had several solo exhibitions at different musea. A constant pursuit of simplicity and purity characterizes his entire oeuvre. This particular piece exudes the same sense of aesthetics and geometrical abstraction.
