Fabio Lenci “Birghitta” Table Lamp for Harvey Guzzini, Italy 1972
Iconic “Birghitta” Table Lamp by Fabio Lenci for Harvey Guzzini, Italy, 1972. Beautiful version featuring a warm caramel outer shell that contrasts beautifully with the clear white inner cone. Aside from the warm atmosphere the colour combination creates, the design of the two interconnected shells — the inner and the outer — is strongly emphasized by this contrast, resulting in an attractive and playful design. Fabio Lenci is a master at creating bold, aerodynamic designs while always remaining elegant and sculptural. The lamp consists of a white acrylate inner shell, which both reflects and transmits light, and a warm caramel-toned outer shell. The two thermoformed acrylate shades are joined by a thick rubber profile and complemented by refined chromed details, such as the integrated cone-shaped switch, the trumpet-shaped socket collar, and the base construction. The lamp was produced only between 1972 and 1974 due to the complexity of the manufacturing process, making it a rare find — especially in this colour. In excellent authentic condition.
