Concrete relief sculpture by Momcilo Milovanovic, France 1970s
Concrete relief sculpture by Momcilo Milovanovic (1921 - 2013), France 1970s. Milovanovic studied sculpting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade until 1958, his life path took him to France where he spent the rest of his life. Works of Milovanovic can be found in important collections of art connoisseurs as well in different public spaces. This relief is showing an intriguing graphic 'Symbolic' work made in solid concrete presented in a metal frame. The dessin shows a continuing flow of geometric harmonious lines reminiscent of the Op-Art movement, yet performed in a more sculptural way. The work is causing a beautiful play of light and shadows due to the deep relief. Unique work signed at the back. In excellent condition with a beautiful patina.
