Aldo Tura Round Green Pedestal dining table, Italy ca. 1965
Round Green Pedestal dining table by Aldo Tura (1909-1963) and Giorgio Tura, Italy ca. 1965. Aldo Tura created outspoken designs inspired by Art Deco designs and was not afraid to use playful objects as inspiration. He mainly used colored parchment, this table is an example of the later more modern path his son Giorgio continued after his father passed away. The table is covered with colored parchment / goatskin in the typical and nicest color of the range they used -Malachite Green- and is showing a beautiful leather pattern. The cone shaped pedestal, flat round top deep Malachite green color and the thick lacquered and polished top layer gives it a nice modern feeling. Beautiful as a center table, large side table or outspoken dining table for 4-6 people. The table is marked under the top with the original label: TURA. In very good original condition.
