Abstract wooden sculpture by Jef van Leeuwen (The Hague 1934), the Netherlands 1978. Van Leeuwen studied at the 'Vrije Academie, school of arts in The Hague, van Leeuwen was focussed on abstract sculptures with outspoken shapes during his career. The sculpture is carved out of a heavy piece of solid Oak with nice dark stained parts and shows a strong geometric yet organic representation. Made with a great technique and craftsmanship, resulting in great forms and depth. In excellent original condition.
