Abstract wooden sculpture by Jef van Leeuwen (The Hague 1934), the Netherlands 1969. Van Leeuwen studied at the 'Vrije Academie, school of arts in The Hague, van Leeuwen was focussed on abstract sculptures with outspoken shapes during his career. The sculpture is carved out of a heavy piece of solid Oak and shows a strong yet friendly organic representation. Made with a great technique and craftsmanship, mastering the chisel in ultimate form; resulting in a great shape with a varied textured surface. In excellent original condition.
