Abstract wooden sculpture by Cor Dam (1935 -2019), the Netherlands 1970s. Dam studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Hague, he made sculptures in ceramic, concrete, wood and metal beside sculptures he made paintings and ink drawings. The sculpture is beautifully hand-carved out of rich solid Iroko wood and is showing nice organic stacked cubistic shapes. The quality of the work is showing the refined skills aesthetic eye of the artist. The natural warm and rich colored Iroko wood makes the shapes stand out in a beautiful way. Signed at the back: CD. The sculpture is in excellent original condition.
