Sculptural Kinetic table lamp by Giovanni Banci, Italy 1960s

Rare light sculpture by Giovanni Banci for Bank Firenze, Italy 1960s. Stunning kinetic design composed of two chromed steel prisms which form a perfect cube together. The prisms have an invisible turning point in the center which makes it possible to rotate the top prism by turning on the integrated motor, the requested position can be chosen and then the motor can be switched off but it can also left on so it keeps moving like a kinetic piece of art. The motor runs smoothly and silent. The lamp can be used as a table lamp but also as a spot on the floor to highlight a piece of art or wall. The lamp is equipped with the original integrated dimmer which dims very nicely by turning on the aluminum button. It takes one large E-27 spot. Marked with the two original BF stickers; Banci Firenze. Original old stock and therefore in an excellent original condition.

*We can send a video of the rotating lamp upon request
