‘Ursula’ floor lamp by Angelo Brotto for Esperia, Italy 1970s
Rare 'Ursula' floor lamp by Angelo Brotto for Esperia, Italy 1970s. Outspoken design composed of a high gloss polished stainless steel square base and 12 square Murano glass tubes. Outstanding quality both aesthetic as in materializing as we could expect from Angelo Brotto. Brotto studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia where he graduated in 1941, he won several important awards and designed artistic light sculptures for Esperia during the 1960s - 1970s. The lamp has 5 refined stainless steel tubular pipes, hidden behind the glass, in different lengths which all hid a E14 lighting socket. The placing of the lighting fittings creates a perfect outbalanced light orientation. In excellent original condition. The lamp is provided with one spare blue tube and the original 'Ursula' paper.
