Modernist side chairs by L.O.V. Oosterbeek, the Netherlands 1920s
Rare pair of modernist side chairs by L.O.V. Oosterbeek, the Netherlands 1921. L.O.V. is an abbreviation of Labor Onia Vincit which means 'Work conquers all'. Designed most probably by Fritz Spanjaard who became the artistic director of L.O.V. in 1919. The chairs are constructed out of solid stained Oak and designed with a very progressive mind set. All four legs are placed in different angles, which causes a very modernist result. Highly collectible pieces in very good original condition, signed with label on the bottom.
