Cube table lamp ‘Model LT323’ by Carlo Nason for Mazegga, Italy 1970s

Large Murano glass table lamp mod. LT323 by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, Italy 1973. Interesting design which stands out in both material and form. The clean lines of the cube and inner sphere contrast nicely with the floating colors. The lamp is made from refined Murano glass in two floating glass tones; Opaline and Latino glass softly float over into each other, which generates a beautiful effect. The position of the Opaline glass is carefully chosen; at first technical to filter and absorb direct light from the lightbulb but also esthetically to point out the beautiful sphere shape and to create an interesting playful dessin. To create such an ingenious glass object, great knowledge and design skills are required and of course skilled craftsmen. The lamp is in excellent original condition.
