Charlotte Perriand ‘Bauche n°19’ chairs for Steph Simon, France 1950s – Set of four
Iconic set of four Bauche n°19 chairs by Charlotte Perriand, France 1950s. The first drawings of the chair date from 1939, the production by Steph Simon started after the war. This is a Steph Simon production from the 1950s. The traditional frames are made from solid stained Ash wood, which contrast nicely with the beautiful woven rush seat and backrest. The design is modest yet with refined characteristic and outbalanced details. The chairs are in a very good condition with a stunning patina on the Ash wooden frames. Also available in a set of six chairs, or a set of two.
