Large three seater Soriana sofa by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy 1969. This is the largest sofa from the ‘Soriana’ range. The sofa is reupholstered in a beautiful structured fabric by Dedar, which gives it a very luxurious and residential appearance. The original foam is in perfect condition and shows its characteristic round and bulky shape. The concept behind the Soriana series was to express a comfortable design where a bundle of fabric or leather was held together by chrome plated metal clamps. The ‘Soriana’ series won the Compasso d’Oro price in 1970. Very comfortable sofa in a very good condition.
