Iconic chaise longue 'Djinn' by Olivier Mourgue for Airborne international, France 1964-1965. Mourgue takes a very important place in the world of modern French design. The chair is well known for its appearance in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and is part of the collection of the Centre de Pompidou and the MoMA in New York. Made of a tubular steel frame with rubber singles, foam and fabric. Reupholstered within the original specifications in a high quality woolen velvet. In excellent condition.
