XL Solid Beech wooden coffee table, France 1960s. Beautiful live edge free form from an extraordinary large and heavy 10 cm thick solid piece of Beech with a beautiful exposed grain. The wood shows an incredible patina, natural lines and cracks. The top lays on two 10 cm thick beams which are fixed under the table with strong metal bolts. The edges of the table show characteristic metal springs which were used in the time to avoid the wood from splitting. In very good condition.
