Charlotte Perriand console for Les Arcs 1800, France 1970s
Charlotte Perriand console bar for Ski resort Les Arcs 1800, France 1970s. Beautiful free form shape with a nice skewed carved front. This model was used as a bar in the 'Les Arandelieres' residence. The 5 cm thick solid Pine wooden top has a beautiful wood grain and patina, it is mounted against the wall with two black lacquered metal supports following the design of the metal base Les Arcs table. The console is mounted with a fingertip distance from the wall which makes the shape of the top stand out nicely. Provenance: Les Arandelieres, Les Arcs 1800. Model as shown in the book: Charlotte Perriand, l'Oeuvre Complète Vol. 4: 1968-1999, see photo. The console is in a very good condition.
