Sculptural side chairs by Francesco Pasinato
Rare set of sculptural side chairs by Francesco Pasinato (1935 – 2003), 1970s. Pasinato was born in Padua Italy and later moved to Germany. He was an autodidact and created playful sculptures in metal and wood, paintings and graphics. The chairs where a step into a different field and can be seen as applied art. He created several pieces but each piece is different and unique.
The chairs are made out of solid Oak and have a very interesting relief and play between organic shapes, carvings and openings.
The chairs are very well made and offer besides its beauty and character a good comfort. The chairs are featured with a new made cushions upholstered with a Pierre Frey ® mohair, they can be used with or without the cushions; cushions lay loose and stay on its position due to the anti slip bottom. In very good original condition with a lovely warm patina.
