Audoux & Minet Rope chairs for Vibo Vesoul, France
Pair of iconic armchairs by Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, France ca. 1950. The couple became famous for their 50s French Riviera rope furniture.
Humble yet stunning design consisting two loops and a seagrass rope knotted seating part. The loops are accentuated by the two wooden cilinders at the front of the base.
The Ash wooden frames are stained in a deep dark brown color. The chairs remain in a very good condition and still have their original ropes. The chairs have a strong construction and offer a good comfort for daily use. Both of the chairs are stamped with the original Vesoul stamp.
