Wooden ‘Art populaire’ style side chair, France
Decorative wooden side chair, France beginning of the 20th century. Very well made sculptural three legged stool with a nice robust and natural appearance, all hand carved
by local craftsmen to be used as a work chair on countryside. The seat and backrest are reupholstered in a Pierre Frey wool fabric, creating a striking contrast in colour and material. A highly decorative object with a variety of interesting details. Very good condition with a lovely characteristic patina.
