Charlotte Perriand ‘Meribel’ Stool in Stained Ash and Rush
Important stool in stained ash and rush by Charlotte Perriand, France ca 1948. The stool was originally used in the Chalet-Hotel 'Le Doron' in ski resort Meribel Les Allues, which was built between 1946 - 1948 by architects Paul Grillo & Christian Durupt. Charlotte Perriand was responsible for the furniture of this projects. The stool has four high cylinder shaped legs with the typical Perriand signature 'cross connection' and a beautifully woven rush seat. The combination of materials and gives it a warm yet rustic appearance. In great original condition with a adoring patina.
