‘Porcino’ table lamp by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena
Large 'LTA6 Porcino' table lamp by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, Italy 1966. Impresive architectonic appearance due to its different materials and shapes in an monumental size. It is provided with a cylindrical base in chromed metal that supports a large hand-blown frosted glass sphere, to provide a soft and subtle light partition. The inner structure of the lamp is very well designed and holds three E-27 light fittings which lit the sphere, inside the cone is place for one more E-27 light fitting which works as an uplighter. Very intelligent design which creates a very functional yet pleasant light. The original well designed 'double press' switch has three options; all lamps on - the under section on - uplight section on. Literature: Repertorio 1950-1980, Gramigna, pg. 244. In very good original condition.
