Sculptural side chairs in stained Elm

Set of two sculptural side chairs attributed to Olavi Hänninen for Mikko Nupponen, Finland 1950’s. The chairs are constructed out of dark stained Elm wood with nice warm tones. Every single element of the chairs is carved by hand, therefore no piece is the same. The impressive T-shaped back rest gives it a very sculptural and minimalistic appearance. In very good original condition.
