Chaise longue 'Djinn' by Olivier Mourgue for Airborne international, France 1964-65. Mourgue takes a very important place in the world of modern French design.
The chair is well known for it's appearance in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and is part of the collection of the Centre de Pompidou and the Moma in New York. Made of a tubular steel frame with rubber singles, foam and fabric. All is redone within the original specifications with use of the highest quality foam and rubber. It's reupholstered in a rich woolen 'plushy' fabric. In excellent condition.
